Blog Commenting

Today we learnt how to make a quality blog comment. We learnt that in a blog comment we must have the following:

a greeting
a connection with a writer
a positive statement - say something nice
add new facts
ask questions

We also learnt that before we publish we must
check our capital letter and punctuation.
Spelling.
The comment makes sense.

Test Results on Speech Mark quiz

Today we are learning how to use speech marks in dialogue. In speech marks we use 66 and 99's to show that someone is talking, or magazines, movies and names. In my speech marks test I got 10/10 because most of them were easy and some hard.
10/10
This morning it was fun because we are doing a speech marks on a document, it is cool because it makes you learn about speech marks, were to put them, how to use them, when to use them.
You use them when someone is talking, and titles of magazines and movies. The thing I like about learning is that I will learn something new every time like this time.

3-D shapes

Throughout this term my whole class has been learning about Geometry. Yesterday we created 3-D shapes using nets. I created a tetrahedron. A tetrahedron is shaped like a pyramid, but it has a triangle as a base. While I was creating it, I found it mostly easy but the gluing difficult because it kept on coming off and I was getting frustrated that it kept on coming.
My shape has 4 faces, 6 edges and 4 corners.

1. First you have to cut it out.
2. You have to glue and fold it, but take your time.
3. Finally you've done.

Rotation shapes

WALT rotate shapes.

When I first started to learn how to rotate I found It very difficult. Now I know how to do It, It is getting easier and easier.

Rotation Is when one point is stuck like a brick and the other is easy to move. This morning Mr Ramkalawan showed us a rotation game, It goes like this. First you have to be at 0 degrees, then when someone says " move 90 degrees to your right" then you move your whole body to the right once, with you one foot stuck. Then If they say " move 90 degrees to your left" then you have to move left once with your foot still stuck. Then we played this awesome game, this girl named Taty she had to sing because the object landed on her she had to sing twinkle twinkle, It was funny because she had to sing in front of the whole class, the next one was Mr Ramkalawan he had to do a multiple questions it was 5x3 it equaled up to 15. While we were playing that we were learning rotation at the same time, at that same time I was really hoping that It wouldn't land on me and It didn't. Then we had to go back to our seats and we had to do rotating shapes, It was fun, cool, easy and interesting. Here is a image that I have done about rotation today.

Omaru Stream 170317

Omaru Stream

Aloha, my name is Laina and I go to  Glen Innes we are learning about the Omaru Stream. Right now the Omaru Stream is dirty and polluted with a lot of dirt, we need your help to keep the Omaru Stream healthy and clean. The Stream is more than  dirty it is filthy and oblivious to look at. That is killing the aquatic animals that are in the creek. We need to keep it clean  by planting more plants and less rubbish in the water for the aquatic animals to live and not die, so we can catch some fish and eat more, and see more dragonfly around the Omaru Stream. My class and rm 11 and 12 are trying hard to  keep the stream healthy and clean.
Thank you
