Rotating Classes @ Glen Innes School

Intro >--<
Colleges give students the freedom to switch classes when there is a legitimate excuse. In general, you must switch classes in school at every period. Most colleges have their schedules like that but some don’t. Switching classes is good because you can focus on different things in different classes also being that you can learn more.

Do I like swapping classes? ^_^
Yes, yes I do! Very much I like swapping classes for many/multiple reasons, one being I don’t get tired just listening to one teacher's voice all day long and then start dozing off to sleep. I know for a fact that students get tired easily by listening to one teacher all day because they sometimes get irritated or sometimes just don’t want to hear their voices anymore.

In addition to the paragraph above ; )
When a class doesn’t challenge you, you may find it boring and your time may be better spent in a course that expands your knowledge and skills. Alternatively, a class that’s too difficult is a good reason to switch.

Different level ;0
Each teacher has a unique personality and teaching style. If a teacher’s teaching style clashes with your learning style, your grades might suffer. The same is also true if a teacher doesn’t foster your learning effort, according to a May 2011 article on the CNN website... Rather than give up on the class, you may find more success with a different teacher. If you think that having a different professor could help you academically, talk to your advisor, and explain the situation. He/she may be able to recommend a professor who teaches the same course in a manner that better suits your learning style. Or, a professor who can do different things but still be able to teach that particular area/subject properly.

Idea/thought about it “-”
I like the idea/thought of us year sevens and eights to swap classes after break time, because then we would have a better understanding of how college would be like, due to swapping classes an everyday day. I think it is best to keep it that way, since our year eights would be leaving intermediate next year, and also best because then the year sevens would already know how the rotation is going to go on with whatever college they're going to.

Liking it “^”
I'd like to thank whoever came up with a swapping class at our school because it helps a lot. It helps with different things, one being that we would already have experience and also that we don't have to hear our same teachers voice all over again. especially because I know that children tend to not listen and end up sleeping like they're in bed or on the beach.

Thanks
With that being said I'd like to thank Mrs. Tu'Akoi & Mrs. Petersen for organising this rotating/swapping/changing class idea every time after the break. I appreciate what you teachers have done for us year sevens and eight. It would help us in our afterlife(college).

The coming storm | Writing

The lone figure trudged along the road. So the man went through it and and something mysterious happened.

The sun was warm, and the figure felt the comforting warmth of the sun’s rays as they shone down from a cobalt sky. It looked like a pleasant scene was above to change drastically as the clouds gathered menacially above the distant peaks of the mountain range.

To be caught in the chaos and carnage of a might storm is not a pleasant experience. The lone figure’s trudged become a run, if he didn’t find sanctuary soon who knew what might happen.

Definition | Sentences ~ Parts of speech

Adjectives - An adjective is a word which generally describes or gives more information about a noun or a pronoun.
Example:
They have a beautiful small white furry dog. | Noun is dog….. Adjectives. Bold
What do you think of the dog? - Beautiful
What is its size? - Small
What colour is it? - White
What type of dog is it? - Furry
Sentence:
A bald man was brave enough to live in a large old house, and he also drive a fast sports car.

Noun - A word that is used to identify people, places, animals, feelings, ideas and things.

Adverbs
An adverb describes a verb, an adjective  or another adverb. It tells how, where, why, when, how much, and with what frequency.

Verb - Is most probably important to use in a speech because you can have a sentence or question without a verb. | Shows an action or state of being, we changed the form of verb to talk about different times so verbs are pretty important.
Example:
I walk to school everyday. - shows a physical action.
Ryle went to the supermarket. - again showing a physical action.
I am a teacher. - am is the verb in this one.
You are a student. - are is a verb in this one.
Did you notice the first two ( walk & went ) shows a physical action in the last two ( am & are ) shows a state of being. Don't involve physical action they show situations.

The Fascinating Journey

Once In the sunny but cloudy weather a young little girl
went for a trip to the air balloon area, she wanted to go
there because she wanted to have a trip in the delicate sun.

There was a lovely blue and yellow parrot flying in the
air in her site around the lovely colourful air balloon.
The parrot gracefully landed on the little girls hand,
his claws gently nipping the sky on her index finger.
She leant onto the basket lurch so she could steady herself.

While the sun was setting down it was shining down
on the basket lurch it felt warm for her to hold onto. A
smile crossed her face as she thought about the
excitement that lay ahead. The trip was to be a
memorable trip so she could tell her children in the
feature that they should go on an air balloon trip in
the sky looking at a stunning sunset go down.

A few moments after the parrot landed on her finger
it flew away to its family pack while it was flying in
the cloudy white clouds. The parrot flew of gently
with the little girl was raising her finger to the air.
When the parrot was leaving the little girl waved goodbye.

When the sun was setting the little girl was slowly
making her was back down to the ground safely
as her parents were waiting for her patiently in the
bright purple car. When the little girl got down she
started explaining what happened to her in the air
to her parents with excitement.

The little girl went down and started talking
abundance to her parents she was full with
enjoyable feelings because the parrot landed
on her index finger.

The "key words" reflection

Identify what did the term "key word" mean to you when gathering research in our Web Res Drafts file and how did it impact on you results?
It meant to me that when you add more quotation marks the more hits you get. My results kept on going higher and higher.

Describe the skill that you learnt in the Who are you topic.
I learnt that robots are most likely going to take over the jobs in the world.

Explain when and where you could use this skill again.
I could use this again some other time when I need abundance of information from the internet and I might use it at home or at school.

Last lesson of Hip-Hop

Today after morning tea we had hip-hop with our hip-hop teacher Izzy. It is her last lesson with us that Izzy will do. I think that this day is better than any other day because It's almost Christmas and It's our last day with Izzy, today we continued our lesson from last week but we put that at the end of the dance and at the beginning we added more to it. We got put into three groups called "one, two and three." All of the groups got to dance with Izzy group by group. After that we all got put into girls and boys group, the girls had to get up and dance first there was only three girls the Izzy told to stay the people who remained standing was Calais, Nastazia and I. Then the boys had to dance and then there was only two boys that remained standing and it was Sale and Tama. Moments after that there was only two people that remained there and it was Sale and Nastazia they danced and then they got a lollipop each.

Kapa Haka Festival

Last week Saturday at Ruapotaka Marae there was a kapa haka festival with abundance of parents and children spectating. There are tons of maori people in the world to be lucky enough to be dancing in front of a crowd, on a rainy day. They were one out of sixteen schools to be chosen to go on stage and start performing.
